The Terra Nova Program, a collaborative initiative between Guanacaste Children’s Community Center and Hope Across Borders, aims to provide high-quality, technology-focused educational opportunities to youth in Costa Rica. This program will equip participants with essential digital skills, fostering their academic growth, and preparing them for future success in an increasingly digital world. While the program has a tuition fee, it is designed to be affordable, and scholarships are available to ensure that deserving students are not excluded due to financial constraints.
The Need
While Costa Rica is making strides in technological advancement, access to resources and training remains unevenly distributed. Many talented and motivated young people, particularly in underserved communities, lack the financial means and access to technology that would allow them to develop crucial digital skills. This disparity creates a significant barrier to their educational and economic advancement.

The Terra Nova Program will address this need by providing:

This includes instruction in computer literacy, typing proficiency, software applications, coding fundamentals, web development basics, and digital design principles, all aimed at preparing students for success in an increasingly tech-driven world.

- Mentorship and Support: Connecting students with mentors who can provide guidance and support throughout the program.
- Scholarships: Offering scholarships to cover program costs for students who demonstrate exceptional talent and potential but lack the financial resources to participate.
